Happy Thursday all!
I want to start out my post with a little exercise.
Is this glass half full or half empty?
The way you answer that question will speak volumes about you as a person and how you view things.
I for one am an optimist, the glass is always half full to me. I try to always find the positive in everyone and everything. This IS NOT easy all the time, but life is too short not to try.
Life in general is not a smooth road.
The end of 2011 was both hard on me and amazing at the same time. In Early November Obsession received a contract, and I was over the moon happy. My first book! The day before Thanksgiving I found out the Publishing House closed. I was crushed and I watched all my dreams fad away. I soon realized I had two options, either give up, or put my big girl panties on and try again.
No dream has an easy path, but believing in your self can see you through the hard times. I submitted Obsession to Beachwalk Press after Thanksgiving and here I am!
So it's a New Year, I need to make resolutions. Right?
In my personal life, I'm going to try and cluttered my house (this could take all year).
In my professional life (being an author) I have goals that I've set for 2012.
With the release of Obsession on 3/19 and The Love, Again Anthology on 2/14, my year is starting out with a bang! I would love to see this continue through the year and see the books I'm working on published this year also.
Naughty Little Bedtime Stories Volumns 1 and 2
After the Sunset ( my first YA)
Kayli's Christmas Wish (a short story would need to find an Anthology)
For a new author I know I may be expecting too much, but I believe no dream is to big! The only way you fail is by not trying.
So I encourage all of you to THINK POSITIVE, DREAM BIG, and make 2012 a MAGICAL one!
I will leave you with the quote that I live by
See you in two weeks!
