Tantalizing Tuesday - Southern Embrace by Tamaria Soana
Welcome to this weeks Tantalizing Tuesday! We have Southern Embrace from Tamaria Soana, which is on sale this month for 99cents!

Once in his room, she stopped and looked around in awe at the lit candles he had placed everywhere. There had to be at least ten.
“Relax. I want tonight to be about you. Let me please you.”
Her gaze met Lance’s, and without another thought, she walked into his open arms. She reached up and placed her arms around his neck as their lips met. Savannah ached with need at the intensity of their kiss. Lance plunged his tongue into her mouth, seeking hers and caressing it. Their lips parted, and he pulled away.
“Lose the towel and lie face down on the bed,” he said in a husky voice.
She took a deep breath and let her towel fall to the floor. Lance groaned as his gaze took in every inch of her.
“You’re so beautiful.”
She noticed his erection trying to spring free from his shorts, and she was pleased she affected him the same way he was affecting her.
“Please, lie down, Van.”
She crawled onto the bed, her ass in the air, and her skin heated as a blush spread throughout her whole body, knowing the most intimate part of her was on display. Her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest when Lance swore under his breath.
“Fuck.”
She settled on her tummy and felt the bed dip as he placed his hands on her shoulders.
“I need to touch you. Relax for me.”
He started to massage her shoulders, rubbing and kneading her aching muscles. He spent a good amount of time on her lower back, then moved to her ass. Van was so turned on, she felt as though she might explode.
“Just let go and feel.”
Van closed her eyes and let herself get lost under his amazing touch. Every muscle was relaxed, but every nerve ending was on fire.
“Turn over,” he commanded as he got off the bed.
She swallowed, took a deep breath, and slowly turned over.
“Spread your legs.”
Van did as he asked. Her body burned with need, and she craved his touch. Her heart sped up as she watched him crawl up the bed between her legs, although she was confused as to why he wasn’t naked also. “Aren’t you overdressed for this?”

Falling for him was easy, but can she let him go?
After a year of travel, fun-loving pool shark Lynette Brooks has settled in Pineville to be near her cousin. She doesn't plan to be there long, and she doesn't expect fate to step in, sweeping her off her feet. But when she meets the serious cop, Ty Sellers, she sees a challenge and is determined to get to know him.
Ty is a no-nonsense, by-the-book lawman who keeps to himself. Living in a fog of misery is exactly what he deserves, and getting emotionally attached to someone is not an option…until he meets Lynette. She's spontaneous, reckless, and a gorgeous haphazard of a woman who threatens to break through his guarded walls and unsettles emotions he buried long ago.
The chemistry between them is undeniable, but the guilt Ty lives with every day causes him to push Lynette away. All she wants is him, but how much of his wavering can she take before letting go for good?

Lynette
scooted next to Ty so their arms touched. She pointed to Polaris with her
opposite hand. “Ursa Minor is the easiest to find. It comes straight off the
North Star, forming what looks like a handle with two more.” She traced her
finger through the air. “See the box the next four stars make?”
When
he didn’t answer she felt the weight of his stare on her, heady, consuming.
Shivers zipped along her skin, and she brought her arm down to her side and met
his gaze.
“I was
trying to show you the Little Dipper.”
“And I
was watching your lips move while you did.”
“Why?”
she asked softly. They were inches apart and the closeness stimulated the
exhilaration she felt when he kissed her. Thank goodness she was lying in the
sand, otherwise her knees would have given out and she’d be nothing put a
crumpled mess at his feet.
“Because
your mouth is more interesting.”
“Oh.”
Her heart slammed against her chest, pulsed in the back of her throat. “I
wanted to help you remember.”
The
corner of Ty’s lips twitched, and his eyes narrowed a bit. He rotated his gaze
to the sky and threaded his fingers through hers. “What if I don’t want to
remember? What if I told you dredging up memories isn’t a good thing? That I’m
better off without them.”
She
stared at him for a few seconds, considered pushing him for more, but noticed
the fracture of his guarded wall closing fast. She had to lighten the mood, or
risk losing him completely. Before Lynette even realized what she was doing,
she swung her leg around his waist and sat with her knees in the sand,
straddling the most beautiful man she’d ever seen. His eyes went wide, and she
laughed to conceal her own surprise.
“I’d
say you need to make new memories, Officer Sellers.”
His
green orbs turned heated. They fixed on her lips for a few seconds then slowly
lowered to examine her bra-and-panty clad body. Not exactly what she expected
with her attempt to change the vibe, but she’d take this for sure. He lifted
his hands to her shoulders and ran the backs of his fingers the length of her
arms, sending vibrations dancing through her veins. She stopped breathing when
he reached her wrists. The desire to feel his touch on every inch of her skin
conquered her thoughts when his attention went to her thighs. He ran his
fingertips up and up until he gripped her waist. A light squeeze of his strong
hands made her gasp.
“Come
here,” he muttered, voice low and throaty, eyes hooded.
Her
center clenched, her mind focused on nothing but the feel of his touch, the
frenzied look in his eyes, how they conflicted with the sternness of his jaw,
the softness in his hands. Lynette leaned forward, hovered inches from him with
her palms buried in the sand. “Like this?” she asked in a whisper, the
prevailing need to please him consuming her.
Ty slowly nodded, his chest heaving.
“Exactly like this.”
He searched her face, flashed a faint
smile, and grabbed a handful of her wet hair, bringing her mouth to his. His
tongue dove between her lips and tangled with hers, frantic, needy. He pressed
between her shoulder blades, forcing her to collapse against him. Skin to skin,
both of them groaned at the contact.

Clockwork Butterfly trilogy
Here's a snippet where Deborah meets her lover for the first time in eight long years... she's broken into the place where he's been held and is about to knock on his door.
Deborah's
stomach fluttered and lurched at the same time as the guard walked
away, leaving her alone in the corridor so close to her lover. Her
legs felt heavy and frail, and she leaned forward, hands on knees, to
catch her breath. Keep
control now,
she told herself while her spirit threatened to desert her. Closing
her eyes, she inhaled and stood up straight. She strode toward the
door and stopped, her heart sinking. Of course, it would be locked,
wouldn't it? Cursing herself for being so naïve, she tried the
handle and was amazed when it clicked and the door clunked open.
"Who's
there?" Marcus snapped from inside. "I told you, I've had
enough tonight. I'm tired."
With
trembling arms, Deborah pulled the heavy door toward her.
He
was hunched forward in a chair by the bed facing away from her.
Deborah watched him slump further when the door squeaked open a
little more.
"Please,"
he said, his voice weary and quiet, "leave me alone."
A
lump swelled in Deborah's throat as she stepped over the threshold.
"It's me," she whispered, but no sound came out. The
atmosphere darkened.
Marcus
rose violently and threw the chair to the floor. Deborah almost
choked with fright.
He
turned angrily, his black robe billowing, making him look sinister as
a raven. "I said," he snarled, teeth bared, and Deborah
tried her best to stand her ground, but fear melted her limbs and she
slumped to the floor, shaking.
In
a breath, he was cradling her. Hands stroking her face and hair,
exploring her, searching her.
"Is
it you?" He took her by the shoulders and squeezed her hard. "Is
it… Is it really you?"
Pain,
longing, terror, and love streaked across his face all at once and
Deborah began to grow under the glare.
"Yes,"
she whispered, her voice not letting her down this time. "Yes,
it's me. I'm here, Marcus, I'm here."
He
pulled her into his chest and wept over her hair. Deborah inhaled his
scent, wrapping her arms around his torso and up under his sweater as
he rocked her back and forth.
"Oh
God, how I've missed you."
The
words came out in great sobs and Deborah was overwhelmed at his
reaction. She squeezed tighter, hoping it would hold his emotions
together and not send him spiraling out of control.
"I've
searched for such a long time. Such a long time. I thought I'd never
hold you again."
She
could barely breathe, inhaling shallow hiccup breaths as he squeezed.
If she wanted to, she could slip through, right through, into the
very soul of him right now. It was a tantalizing thought and she let
her physical self go.
"No!"
She was being shouted at and shaken. "Wake up! Deborah, my God.
I'm sorry."
Deborah
came to, scared once again by his strength and size. What was going
on here? Had he lost all sense of scale? Deborah put her hands to her
chest and breathed in reviving air, air revved and electric with his
aura.
He
was smoothing her hair gently once more, his eyes filled with fear.
"I thought I'd killed you. I'm so sorry. I—"
Deborah
leaned into his lips, tasting her true love for the first time in
eight long years. It was the same exquisite Marcus and her mouth
watered for his kiss. It came. Soft at first, then hard and fast,
devouring her lips, skimming her teeth with his tongue and tangling
up in hers. She met him lick for lick, mouths undulating together
with need, sorrow, regret, and joy. Deborah couldn't believe the
whirlwind of emotions being explored through this one kiss. The kiss
where souls collide…
Blurb
– The Meeting Point
A
story of love, freedom, and the future of mankind. Deborah Regan has
broken free from the prison where she’s been unjustly held for the

Marcus

He was still talking, and she watched, fascinated at the way he used his hands to make a
point. Heat crept along her cheeks. You can do this. After all, it’s just sex, right? Sexual hunger
that I can work off then forget. It doesn’t mean anything. She ignored the part of her brain that
told her it was so much more. That she was an idiot. That if he pushed her away, he’d leave and
send another to do the job.
She closed her eyes, gathering her confidence around her, and sucked in an unsteady breath. With a groan she threw herself at him, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. “It’s not having just someone. It’s you.”

Their lips clung to each other’s. Her hands roamed over his chest, learning the dips and hollows, tracing the hard pectoral muscles and continuing their mad foray. Fingertips played with the clips of his uniform jacket and, without thought, she plucked at them, hearing the pop of buttons as they hit the carpeted floor.
His mouth moved, skating along her jawline, and nibbled its way to her ear. Her chest moved rapidly, sucking in any oxygen she could get, while he worked the most amazing magic on her system.
Carmichael’s hands found the loose jacketed top and slid underneath, burrowing to slide over the skin of her belly. It quivered in reaction and she arched back, needing more of his touch. “Oh. Please. Carmichael.” Her broken words filled the air. She hunted blindly and tugged on the buttons of her jacket before she thrust it from her shoulders, knowing she’d die if he didn’t fill her soon.
Her bra was removed with an efficient move from the sexy captain.

I just launched my newest book with Beachwalk yesterday! Here's a bit about it and some saucy action to whet your appetite - I hope you enjoy x x x
Here's a little
snippet... it is at the point where Deborah and Marcus first discuss a new spiritual way to enjoy sex called Ultimate Unity and follows a sexy voyeuristic adventure in the trees.
Deborah woke back in their shelter at the camp. It was late
afternoon, and her body ached in that satisfying way as if she’d
been working out at the gym. Then she remembered just how worked out
she had been. The shroud of sleep began to lift and she blinked her
eyes open to see Marcus smiling down at her with a self-satisfied
air.
“Was it you back there?” Deborah perched up on one elbow and
picked a piece of apple from the plate he offered. As the
sticky-sweet flesh rolled over her tongue she was suddenly ravenous.
“Was it, Marcus?” she pleaded, trying her best not to let guilt
or paranoia spoil the incredible thing that had just happened to her.
“Were you watching me from the bushes?”
He dropped his head and couldn’t look her directly in the eye.
“It was someone else, wasn’t it?” She gasped, reality sinking
in. “Was it Birch?”
Marcus finally looked at her through his hair, his mouth curling into
a small smile despite what looked like his efforts to stop it. He
nodded.
Deborah began to tremble in a way she thought was shock or anger.
They’d never shared each other before, ever, not even a kiss. But
then, as he drew her into the most secure, comforting embrace, she
realized it was excitement. It was the same feeling she’d had that
morning while being fondled and caressed by Hazel before being lead
to the clearing.
“I don’t understand,” she said.
He lowered her back onto the bed and lay beside her, running his
fingers over her body, massaging her breasts then stroking her
shoulders, neck, arms. She felt like a cat, purring on a sunny ledge,
and just let herself fall into that sweet oblivion of sensation.
“I want us to have what they have,” he said slowly and quietly,
but not gently enough to disguise the lust that flirted at the edges
of his words. “I want to own you in the way he owns her, and I want
you to own me in the way she owns him.”
“What do you mean? We do belong to each other.” She reached up
and cupped his jaw.
“Yes, I know,” he said, bringing her even closer in to him. “But
I want a bond that transcends all else. I want to know that no matter
where we are, who we’re with, or what we’re doing, the bond
between us will be unbreakable.”
“You’re not making sense, Marcus, and I’m tired.” She tugged
herself free and rolled to face away from him, suddenly offended at
what he had said. “It’s like you’re dismissing what we already
have. And I think we’ve got something pretty special.” She was
angry, but again she’d confused her own state of mind and realized
what she felt was fear. What Marcus was saying scared her. He’d
been making plans for when they were captured and separated. She
started to cry.
He reached out for her, holding her, soothing her.
“Birch and Hazel have been preparing their bond for months, years
even.” He pulled her around to face him once more. “They want to
know that, no matter what happens to their physical selves, they will
always be together spiritually. They are striving to reach an
emotional unity so intense that when they come, they are each other.”
“You know I’m a scientist, right?” Deborah smiled and poked
him, trying to get him to see how crazy he sounded.
“Yes, and I’m a skeptical agnostic, but you can’t deny they are
amazing.”
Deborah brought the past few days—could it be weeks?—to mind. The
discussions the four of them had around the fire each night were
philosophical, theological, sexual, scientific—never personal.
Neither couple had inquired about the other’s situation or reasons
for being there, exiled in the wood, or ventured their own story. It
was like the code of the forest. It actually freed up a lot of space
for getting right into the debates on life, existence, and all the
good stuff. Deborah had found it scintillating and refreshing and had
relished the talks. Marcus, though, seemed to have gleaned a lot more
about the sexual spiritual side than she had. While she’d been
thinking about the existence of God, he’d been wondering about
fucking. She smiled to herself; she could only think after the best,
most intense orgasm of her life that one of them had been the fool
all this time, and it wasn’t him.
“So how do we do it?”
Tiny snippet
“If
we part ways,” he started but Deborah pressed a finger to his lips,
she didn’t want to hear it, speaking it might make it true. He
pushed her hand from his face and held it at his chest, his woozy
gaze fixed on hers. “Deborah, if we part ways, I’ll find you.
I’ll find you at the meeting point. Do everything you can to come.
We are more than the physical.”

Lovers
on the run in search of a bond that transcends all else.
Dr.
Deborah Regan is a scientist working on a cure to the poison that's
killing the male population and destroying the natural world. But
when she makes a breakthrough in her research, it becomes clear that
the authorities have no intention of finding a cure, and now that
she's getting closer to an answer, she's a threat to them—a threat
they need to deal with quickly.
Deborah
and her partner, Marcus, flee to the forest where they meet another
couple on the run. Birch and Hazel show them how to survive in the
wild and teach them the theory of ultimate unity. They believe that
by finding sexual nirvana at the point of intense orgasm, they will
break through the barriers of physicality and become one.
It
soon becomes apparent that Deborah has an aptitude for falling into
this trance-like state, and she manages to bring Marcus on her
journey. Their spirits can indeed join together at the meeting point,
suspended in time and space while they climax.
When
Birch and Hazel become jealous of the young couple's ease at reaching
ultimate unity—something they've unsuccessfully tried to do for
years—they betray Deborah and Marcus to the authorities. As they
are separated, Marcus begs Deborah to continue to search for the
ultimate sexual unity, because he's convinced that no matter where
they are, this connection will allow them to meet again on a
spiritual plane.
Will
this metaphysical union be enough for a couple so deeply in love?

Thanks for having me along!
Lena Lee is a new collector with a rare pheromone believed to reignite human fertility. She's assigned a male who's predicted to be her perfect match.
Angelo, a clockwork butterfly maker, is held captive, his essence harvested daily by Lena. Over time, the couple begins to fall in love, something which is strictly prohibited. When their forbidden love is discovered, Lena is banished from the manor.
Torn apart by the duty that brought them together, Lena and Angelo must find a way back to each other. But even if Angelo manages to escape, he doesn't know where to find Lena. Will following the path of the clockwork butterfly lead him to his true love?
Taster - where Lena meets the clockwork butterfly for the first time...
“Kiss
the proboscis,” Angelo said softly.
“Really?”
“Uh-huh,” he urged again,
and Lena leaned toward the metal tube. “Use your tongue. There
needs to be saliva.”
Lena felt ridiculous, but did as he
said, licking tentatively at the tiny curled spear.
“There,” he said,
satisfied, and held the creature to the window, which barely opened
six inches. “Now, watch.”
And Lena did. The butterfly fell for
an instant, then the wings began to whir into action, lifting it
chaotically upward until it found some balance. It was incredibly
realistic and mimicked the stuttering, yet graceful, flight of a real
butterfly.
“It’s incredible,” Lena
exclaimed, excited and scared at the same time as the little insect
flew higher and around the top of an oak tree. “Where’s it
going?”
“You’ll see.” The male
smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Lena moved a little closer, allowing
her body to absorb his heat. Shielding her eyes to get a clearer
view, she watched the butterfly weave and dip through the air back
toward the window. To her astonishment, the little creature flew back
in to the room and landed delicately on her shoulder. It flapped
slowly once or twice then came to rest. Lena just stood holding her
breath while the male smiled.
“It’s a homing
Lepidoptera,” he explained. “It travels to its genetic partner.
That’s you.”
Lena touched her lip then the
proboscis that held her DNA.
“What are you called?” she
asked, realizing suddenly that she didn’t know.
“Angelo,” he said, looking
shy again.
Lena regarded him carefully. “It’s
perfect,” she said, and an electric silence descended over the two.
“Is the duty complete?” A
crackling voice filled the room and startled Lena. She instinctively
flew into Angelo’s arms.
“What’s that?” she asked,
her ears ringing with the invasive noise.
“That’s Archmatria Jones.
She’s just checking up on us.”
Lena felt a little sick. An image of
a wizened, beak-nosed shrew hunched over a monitor flooded her brain.
“Oh my God, they can’t see
us, can they?” She broke free from Angelo and peered around the
room for cameras.
“No. I don’t think so.”
Angelo strode to the door and pressed a button on the wall.
“Incomplete at this time. We will report back in due course.”
“We will report back in due
course,” he said, more firmly this time, and Lena was pleased to
see that, even in his imprisoned state, he knew his value. Angelo
released the intercom and came back to Lena. “Well, I think maybe
it’s time…”
Lena trembled as his fingers reached
out to her kimono obi. He was shaking too, obviously wishing they could talk
more, get to know each other. The easy manner they’d slipped into
was now disappearing in the growing anticipation.
“Are you all right?” he
asked her tenderly.
She nodded, noticing a peak rising at
his crotch. The effect on her was instant. Her nipples tightened as
he slowly peeled the silk down past them. A soft, low groan left his
throat, and Lena inhaled his musky scent. She reached out and
stripped him of his robe, burying her face into the base of his neck,
trying to tease out another delicious moan. His neck was hot and his
scent made her mouth water. She bit into his flesh and suckled,
relishing the new manly odors that were overtaking her senses.
“I’m fine,” she whispered
as he pulled her into a strong embrace and kissed her, fully
engulfing her lips in his.
His arousal was unmistakable,
pressing into her through the scant fabric, and she tugged his kimono
off his shoulders and down his back while the searing kisses
continued into her hairline and neck. She shuddered as his tongue
flicked at the most erogenous part just at the base of her earlobe.
Melting feelings of pure desire made her feel weak as she tried to
keep disrobing Angelo. Heat pulsed between her legs and she ground
herself into his hardness. He responded by meeting her thrusts,
gently at first, then with more vigor, humping and grinding, knocking
her off balance until they tumbled together onto the sofa. It felt
wonderful to have something as mighty and solid as this male between
her legs and she wrapped them firmly around his torso. She realized
he had come free from his kimono and his flesh met hers, slipping
against her wet lips and inner thighs. The groan came again as the
tip of him pressed at her twitching entrance. She held her breath as
they stared at each other. Was this really about to happen?...

Tantalizing Tuesday - Obsession by Tamaria Soana
Welcome back to another Tantalizing Tuesday! This week enjoy a snippet from Obsession by Tamaria Soana
****
Alex sat in front of her laptop in her study for what felt like hours and nothing was flowing. An idea hit her—maybe she needed a change of scenery. Grabbing her laptop, she headed for the kitchen. She made herself a quick sandwich and sat down at the kitchen island with her laptop in front of her. She re-read her edits and was about to make a phone call to Colleen when she heard the doorbell. She walked to the front door and looked out the window to find a delivery man holding a long, white box. Her heart swelled and skipped a beat as she opened the door. Hudson used this florist.
“Good afternoon, Mrs. Smyth. These are for you. Sign here.”
She smiled and signed for the flowers. “Thank you.”
“Have a good day.”
“You too,” she replied.
With a huge smile on her face she opened the box and placed the flowers in her favorite crystal vase on the island right next to the laptop. She quickly called Colleen and made plans to meet her on Monday to finalize the movie deal. Alex was on cloud nine. She opened a new document and started writing what she hoped would be her next novel. She’d been working for a good hour when she heard the garage door open and Hudson’s car pull in. She looked at the time, it was only a little after three. Her heart soared as she heard the back door open. She looked up and there he stood with a bottle of wine in his hand.
“I see you received the flowers.”
“Thank you,” she replied as she walked slowly toward him.
You could almost feel the electricity in the air between them, they were like two ends of a magnet searching for the connection they desperately needed. Hudson placed his briefcase and the bottle of wine on the table. She was finally in his arms and their lips met.
Alex squealed as Hudson took a few steps and she found her back up against the wall. Alex was desperate for him, their hands and lips were all over each other.
“Alex, God.” Hudson moaned when she undid his pants.
They wasted no time undressing each other. Alex wrapped her legs around his waist and moaned as he eased into her. He started out slowly, as if wanting to savor the reconnection, but soon the passion swept over them and he took her fast and hard against the kitchen wall.
Alex lay sated in Hudson’s arms on the kitchen floor as they tried to catch their breaths.
“I’m so sorry about last night.”
“You’re forgiven,” Alex replied before she kissed his chest. “But I’m at fault also, it takes two to fight.”
“I started it.”
Alex let out a laugh.
“What’s so funny?”
“I just realized that we’re lying on the kitchen floor naked in the middle of the afternoon.”
“Well, maybe we should take this to a more appropriate room.”
“Like where, the dining room?” Alex teased.
Hudson laughed and stood up. “I prefer the soft bed over the hard table.”
Alex smiled as he held out his hand to her. He helped her up and they made their way to the bedroom, where they spent the rest of the day reconnecting.

Tantalizing Tuesday - Counter Balance by Patricia Bates
Welcome back to this weeks Tantalizing Tuesday! This week Patricia Bates is sharing an excerpt from Counter Balance.

"Slade?" Sleepy, warm, Alex’s voice drifted through the darkness.
Smothering a groan, Slade grabbed for his jeans. "Yeah?"
"I heard something."
He frowned. How the hell had she heard anything? She’d been sleeping so soundly he was amazed she’d even known he was in the house. He heard her step closer, and his body tensed, a lingering twinge in his loins telling him she was walking a fine line. "Just me moving around." Slade shifted, the soft pat of her feet on wood coming closer.
"Really?"
"Come on." Alex leaned over the back of the couch, her palm hot against his bare shoulder. "There’s no point in you sleeping on the couch. You can sleep—"
"Alex, go back to bed," Slade ground out. "While I have the strength to let you."
"Slade?"
Closing his eyes against the question in her voice, he heaved a breath. He didn’t know how to get it through her head, but he knew he had to. There was something about her, something dangerous, he could feel it with every move. Alex wasn’t the kind of girl interested in short term, and short term was all he had. "It’s fine. I’m fine. Go back to bed, Alex."
"What the heck is going on?" Alex moved around the couch to stand before him. Shafts of pale moonlight flitted through the gap in the curtains, highlighting the shadow of her breasts, the curls between her legs visible through the tails of a dress shirt he’d given her to wear.
"Just go."
"You plotting my demise or something?" Alex crossed her arms over her chest. "I heard you talking to someone."
Slade groaned. Why couldn’t she be the meek, simpering type? "Yeah, I was talking to someone. Trying to figure things out."
"Just go back to bed." Leaping to his feet, Slade cursed under his breath as the thin sheet he’d had cascaded to his feet. "Do you not get it? Are you really so—"
"Oh." Alex stepped back, shock in her voice. He heard her swallow, the sound loud in the silence. "I get it."
"Do you?"
"I didn’t…" Alex waved a hand and stepped back. She paused, before shaking her head and heading around the end of the couch. "Look, it’s not my fault you’re in that state. Biting my head off—"
"It’s exactly your fault." Slade grabbed her wrist, pulling her against him. "You have no idea what it’s like to want something, someone, and know you can’t touch them. You run around here in those jeans and skimpy little shirts, driving me crazy, and you think—"
Stepping back, Slade felt the press of the couch arm against the back of his thighs. His arm tightened around her as he twisted, lifting her so they crashed onto the couch. "I have the one I want." Low, guttural, his voice filled the silence.
He caught her shudder of awareness. The tensing of muscles, her breath catching in her throat as realization dawned. Briefly, he wondered if this was such a great idea. He couldn’t afford to get involved with a civilian. Not even one as hell-bent on getting into trouble as Alex Caden.
"You don’t want me," she whispered. "You just want sex. I’m convenient."
"Not by much." Slade pressed a hard, ruthless kiss to her lips. Tense, unresponsive, Alex froze beneath him, her palms pressed against his shoulders. He pulled back, his mouth softening slowly. Lifting his head, Slade stared down at the woman lying beneath him. He reached up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, his eyes following the movement.
"Slade?" So low he almost missed it, her voice stroked along his nerves. Heating his blood as her hands moved, tracing over the curves of his shoulders. He groaned as her fingers raked through the curls on his chest, her nails tweaking his nipples. Shots of pure want raced to his loins, his shaft hardening until it ached.
Heat enveloped him through the thin cotton of his shorts as he pressed against her loins. Rolling his hips, he thrust against her, a flare of satisfaction tightening his cock at the tremble in her body, the way she arched against him.

"I do nothing of the sort." Indignation flared in her voice. "So what if I’m dressing comfortably. Why do you care? It’s not like I’m stopping you from going to see your girlfriend or whomever it is you’re lusting after. You know where the hell we are, I don’t."
Stepping back, Slade felt the press of the couch arm against the back of his thighs. His arm tightened around her as he twisted, lifting her so they crashed onto the couch. "I have the one I want." Low, guttural, his voice filled the silence.

He took his time. The kiss was slow and deep, his tongue probing. Frustration gave way to seduction, to want. Repeatedly, his tongue tangled with hers, tasting her. A muted groan rumbled from within his chest as her hands crept around his sides to clutch at his back.
