Meet Greg - The Dom in Bound By Pleasure

Lacey: Hi Greg, thanks for coming today.

Greg: Thanks for having me, even though I was in the middle of crafting a new painting.

Lacey: Why don't you tell everyone about yourself.

Greg: *raises hand* Hi, I'm Greg and I'm a Dom. What else do you want to know?

Lacey: Okay, I can see this is going to be like pulling nails to get much from you. How about I tell them about you? *Pauses* This is Greg. He is the first Dom I've written. When I created Greg, I wanted to create a different type of Dom. Not your normal CEO powerful man. So, Greg was born. He has long hair he keeps tied back, he wears clothes with paint streaks on them, and for the most part, he's laid back. He likes to chat with his sub and share meals. He doesn't want her sitting on the floor while he eats, if he wanted that, he'd get a dog. However, in his playroom, he expects his sub to be obedient or else he will punish them. Does that sum you up?

Greg: Yup.

Lacey: What drew you to Megan?

Greg: She was honest. I like honesty. And from the moment I saw her, I felt a connection. I had to know her.

Lacey: *Giggles* Women have a way of switching things up, don't they?

Greg: *Nods and lost in thoughts*

New Release! Bound By Pleasure

Bound By Pleasure is the first BDSM novella that I’ve written. I never thought this would be a genre that I would write, but one day this idea hit and it kept speaking to me. I knew I had to craft it. And the story took no time to write. I found that creating a BDSM story was one of the easiest type of stories that I’ve written.

So, I sat down and wondered, what sets my story apart from every other book in this genre. I’m not the first to write a story about the heroine entering into this lifestyle for the first time. However, I think I stayed true to how someone would feel. Megan is scared and often doubts if this is what she wants. She likes the smoking hot sex, but giving up control isn’t as easy as she thought. And punishment, it’s something she doesn’t understand. For the life of her, she can’t figure out why anyone would want to be spanked.

Also, I wanted my hero of the story to be different from most of the Dom’s readers read about. Greg isn’t a high-powered business man. He doesn’t spend his days in meetings and being in control of everything. Instead, he’s a struggling artist. He spends his days painting. His life is anything but organized.

The heroine and hero themselves I think make my story unique. I love reading about the CEO Dom’s myself, but I thought this might put a little different spin on the story. My story isn’t hard-core, but more a romance of two people falling in love and getting a little kinky in the playroom.

Big Week

This is a big week for me. Not only have my kids gone back to school and I can get back to being a writer, but I am doing something I NEVER thought I'd be doing. I'm self-publishing this week. And I'm excited and scared! One of my stories, Finding Home, is a sweet story. I wrote it for a specific series and the series itself moved homes several times and I  followed it. This past week however, one of my publisher closed its doors and once again, Finding Home didn't have a home. I love this story and each time its lost a contract I wanted to bawl my eyes out. I wrote this story for my mom so she would have something to read by me. After a lot of thinking, I decided it would be best to self-publish it. Then I am in full control of my story. As I am getting everything ready for its relaunch, I have the giddy feeling I did when Beachwalk first signed me with Amber's Muse. I could NOT sleep the week before launch. I was so excited. And while I am still very excited with each release, this is bringing me back to that heart-pumping-on-my-God-this-is-happening feeling. I hope this goes well.

In other news, Bound By Pleasure releases in 2 weeks. I've added it to goodreads and sent out a few ARC copies to my street team to try and get a little buzz before this one releases. I usually only wait a week before a book releases to talk about it. But, I thought I'd start a month ahead and see what happens. I am one of those people when I see a book I want, I want it now and don't want to hear about it for awhile before it releases. However, the book sticks in my head and usually when it does release I will pick it up.
