Two Years? Really?

Today I'm celebrating my two year anniversary as a published author. My first novel debuted on this date in 2011. It was in the New Adult genre (wasn't called that back then but that's what we would refer to it as today).  Lots of things have changed in those two short years with the industry and me as a writer. I've grown as both an author and a person, made lots of new friends and found a home at a pretty amazing publishing house. My nostalgia got me to thinking about all of my publishing milestones over the past 730 days and June seems to be my hot month.

Be My Everything was contracted with Beachwalk Press in June 2011. At that time I had just released my first novel, so imagine my surprise when another contract popped into my in-box. I was thrilled someone would take a chance on me and my first attempt at erotic fiction. This book went on to become an Amazon Best Seller. I had no idea then that I'd be gearing up to release my seventh title with this fantastic publisher. The Weekend Proposition will release in September. I'm both humbled and thrilled for the opportunity.

Last June I signed a contract for Something More with Beachwalk Press. Never before had I fallen so hard for my hero. I'll admit I love all of my men, but Brody Callahan stayed with me long after I put the pen down. One of the biggest compliments for me is when readers message me and tell me how much they love him. I always respond back that every woman should have a Brody in her life. Seriously, the man is so loyal.

What's happening this June for Ella Jade? In a word... Martin!

Never before have I been this keyed up for a release. I'm always excited and a bit jittery when a new one of mine hits the virtual shelves but Surrender to Me is like no other release of mine. I have people Facebooking me, tweeting and emailing me at least once a day telling me how they can't wait for June 17. Martin Abrams appeared in one chapter of my novella Make Me Stay and stole the hearts of many. Now I get to tell his story!

Thanks to all of you who have made these past two years such a success for me. I can't wait to share what I have in store for you next. Please follow me on Facebook for all the details surrounding the release of Surrender to Me including a massive blog tour, contests, giveaways and details about the next book I'm writing featuring Martin and some other characters from Make Me Stay and Surrender to Me.
