I can't make them stop! They're evil I tell you, EVIL!
I don't know about my fellow Spicy Authors, but ever since I signed my first contract the story ideas haven't stopped flowing. Writing has become my new addiction. I've always been a writer. I'd jot story ideas down, create characters I didn't know what to do with, and I've already discussed in a previous post about all of those voices and conversations clogging up my head. But, now that I'm published, there's a whole new motivation.
I don't have enough hours in the day to put all of these stories to paper. It's crazy. I've got two YA stories thumping around in my head, a sequel planned for my November release The Lonely Dominant, and a contemporary romance involving a recent widower and the sexy college graduate who comes to take care of his children. Not to mention, I'm halfway through my next WIP Passion's Pain. I guess it's true what they say about rabbits...they multiply!
I'm not complaining. I know this isn't a bad thing. But, I have to admit, now that the plot bunnies have taken over my life, the dust bunnies have taken over my house!

busy busy!!! I am working on something similar to your widower/college grade story. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I got them bunnies too! It's nice place to be, but they start invading everything! x
ReplyDeleteIsn't funny how plots sometimes intertwine without us even knowing it? I just interviewed an author on my blog and her main vamp's name is Aiden. That's the name of my vamp in A Vampire's Soul...my YA WIP.
ReplyDeleteYes they do, Tabitha! But, I guess we could have worse problems;)
ReplyDeleteI remember the first book I put 'the end' to way back in the mid 1980s. While I was writing it, I thought for sure I'd have to sell it because I'd never be able to come up with another plot.
ReplyDeleteSo not true.
Right now I write for four different publishers and I have a book plot started for each one, plus five or six unfinished ones sitting in my hard drive.
I'm lucky that I don't need a day job right now, so I have plenty of time to write all these books.
Too bad we have to sleep, though.
And don't get me started about dust bunnies. :-)
