I'm Going to Love You (on February 14th)

by Stephanie Beck

I'd be a big ol' hypocrite if I said a cross word about Valentine's Day. I like it. I like hearts and flowers and candy and themes...not enough in life gives clear themes and directions, so when I do get the 'all clear' to follow a theme, by golly, I will.

Valentine's Day clears up the doldrums of my house in the post-Christmas let down. It's hard to go from having all my pretty Christmas stuff out to back to my ordinary house decorations. By February, when the snow has lost its luster and the cold is just...cold, the hearts, flowers, pink and red of Valentine's adds some sparkle.

Speaking of sparkle, I love glitter. We have lots of glitter in our house on hand, just in case (one never knows when there will be a glitter emergency) so Valentine's Day will also sparkle. Life is better that way. Check out my Pinterest Board devoted to glitter: http://www.pinterest.com/stephbeckpin/glitter/

How do get ready for Valentine's Day? Do you have a glitter board? I REALLY want to see if you do!

All the Best,

Which of my characters likes glitter? Hm. They all do. So there. Just ask Mary in Mary's Men:

Three husbands—a dream come true or a pipe dream destined to break them all?

Mary Duncan likes to think she's as open as any modern 1960's woman, but when her boyfriend presents his vision of "family" she finds herself between twin brothers and a cousin—all willing to love her if she'll have them…together.

Loving Thomas and Paul comes easily, the sexy twins everything she'd never hoped to dream. If not for her new mother-in-law, the gossiping townsfolk, and the wall of silence from her own family, Mary would be in Montana heaven. Just as the young group finally start to find their footing with the new relationship, Duane Paraby returns from Vietnam, reluctant to join the relationship, but an integral part Mary refuses to give up.

When confrontation explodes around them, threatening to terminate their bonds before they're even set, Paul, Thomas, and Duane will have to prove they have what it takes to be Mary's men.

  1. I know what you mean, I totally hate taking down all my Christmas goodies!!

I usually don't get into the Valentine's Day celebrating since I'm single, but I do enjoy al the colorful items. Pink just happens to be my favorite color.

I'm going to have to add Mary's Men to me TBR list! It sounds delightful!!
