Hello everybody! It’s Emily again and for my Tuesday tips I’m
going to share my simple barbeque menu. You can whip this up in a few minutes,
but you won’t be disappointed! Us Brits don’t get to see the sun very often, but we’ve been
spoiled this week J
and I’ve certainly been making the most of it!
Lemonade
4 lemons
100 grams of sugar
1 litre of water
Squeeze the juice from
the lemons, put it in a jug with the water and sugar and give it a good stir, voila!
Or for a bit of a
twist use 3 lemons and 2 limes.
Kofta Kebabs
500g lamb mince
1 small apple, grated
3 or 4 mint leaves,
chopped
1 Clove garlic,
chopped
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Coriander
Skewers (Soaked in
water for about an hour)
Naan breads (To
serve)
Lettuce, Cucumber,
tomatoes (To serve)
Put all the
ingredients in a bowl and mix well with your hands. Roll the mince into about
twelve rugby ball shaped patties and put about three on each skewer. Cook them
over the barbeque for about fifteen minutes until cooked thoroughly, and then
serve in warm naan bread with salad.
Barbequed Bananas
1 Banana per person
Squeeze of honey
Melted chocolate
1 or 2 scoops of
vanilla ice cream.
This one is so
simple, when the barbeque has cooled down a little just put the banana’s on the
barbeque in their skin for a few minutes. Then peel them, and serve straight
away with a drizzle of honey and melted chocolate and some vanilla ice cream.
You’ll be surprised at how filling this is, but the ice cream makes it a
refreshing dessert!
Thank you all for reading! I hope you're all enjoying the summer!
