Happy Friday and welcome to my first post of the New Year!
I must admit I'm not a huge fan of January. It always seems pretty anti climatic after a hectic festive period in which there aren't enough hours in the day, or enough food. January often brings a financial overhaul, the urge to redecorate the now bare looking, unadorned room, and the influx of 'diet now' articles and adverts. I hid my favourite chocolates, so I can't possibly diet yet!
Last year I was hugely optimistic about 2014 and set myself goals and a list of New Year resolutions. Most of which didn't happen how ever hard I tried to achieve them. In theory they should. After all I'm a list maker and the forward planner of the family. I get twitchy about what's coming next. This time I'm starting the year in a different ways. I'm winging it. I have removed the goals and I'm going to see where it takes me. I figure if I hadn't focused so much on last years goals, I could've opened myself up to more possibilities without the virtual constraints of the goalposts. In theory this year there should be no failure and any achievements coming my way will be an added bonus. That's my only plan anyway!
How about you? Are you a goal setter, or are you joining me in flight? :-)
If one of your goals is to improve your finances you can always join me on my Dating in the Dark tour. There's a $10 Amazon gift card up for grabs. You can join me here.
Have a wonderful weekend and best wishes for 2015!

Your 2015 plan isn't far off from mine. This year I'm focusing more on trying to figure out the current market and see how I can fit in.
ReplyDeleteA tough challenge Lacey, but I'm sure you'll figure it out and fit in snugly :-)
DeleteI usually don't make resolutions but I'm for making goals that you want to achieve, just not necessarily this year. I am hoping to notice and appreciate the little things more. I also want to make more time to relax and maybe do a little more crafty things.
ReplyDeleteGreat goals Liz, hope you achieve them!
