tantalizing Tuesday - Daring to Wish by Tracey Rogers

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing an excerpt of Daring to Wish with you. This is the moment went Eve is taken home by her sexy stranger. Enjoy :-)

He chuckled, causing Eve to wonder why she felt the soft vibration through her body, until she realized her uninjured foot had made its own journey of self discovery and was now resting halfway between his hip and the danger zone of his groin. Oops! Shyly, she retracted her foot slightly with a soft slide and a gentle curl of her toes into his muscle. She felt him tense with her movements.
“In this instance I meant I have lots of practice with injuries,” he countered thickly. Eve blushed. “You’re very good at it.”
“I try to be good at everything I do.”
“Everything?” Eve asked with a breathy sigh.
“Absolutely.”
She didn’t doubt that for a second.
She watched the play of his shoulders as he deftly wound the bandaging to end at her shin. Warmth flooded her face as he tore off a piece of tape with his teeth. How she remembered the touch of that mouth and those lips
“How does that feel?” he questioned huskily as he smoothed down the tape with his thumb.
Eve was momentarily lost for words as that deliciously skin roughened thumb began to make soft circular motions that intensified in height and sensation with each spine-tingling revolution. “Wonderful,” she whispered, nervously sweeping her tongue over her lips as heat surged through her veins.
“Not too tight?” he murmured.
He meant the ankle.
She moved her ankle gingerly and wiggled her toes. “It feels great, it really does. Thank you,” she said, surprised that it really did feel fine.
“And this?” he asked softly, not taking his eyes away from her face as his sensuous strokes now caressed the delicate area behind her knee.
Now he meant his touch.
Eve met the intensity of his searching gaze with boldness. “Amazing,” she admitted on a sigh. “But it’s not enough.”
She heard his soft curse only a moment before he reacted so fast his body became a blur as he moved over her. So close she could see every stunning striation of his piercing blue eyes— but not close enough. He braced himself with his arms at either side of her head, his knees rested in between her straddled legs so there was a hated space between them.
“Why isn’t it enough?” he asked. “Tell me what you need,” he demanded on a breath as quickened as her own.
“You,” she answered. “I need you.”
Please.

Daring to Wish - In Print!

I'm so excited to tell you that Daring to Wish is now available in print!

What happens when you dare to wish?

In an effort to regain her independence and break out of her shell, shy Eve Ward writes a daring wish list of all the things she wants to do before her thirtieth birthday. It's a good thing the list is for her eyes only, because some of the items are pretty risqué.

Adrenaline junkie Lucas Riley becomes Eve's "victim" in a kiss-a-stranger dare, and she thinks he's perfect for her one-night-with-a-stranger wish.

With Eve, Lucas thinks he's found the distraction he needs before he has to say goodbye to his bad boy image. When he finds Eve's sexy wish list, he can't keep himself from giving into temptation and sneaking a peek, and wish number eight is impossible for him to resist. Being good can wait.

Eve is thrilled when, out of the blue, Lucas offers to take her skydiving. Her sexy stranger has helped her tick so many wishes off her secret list. Her confidence has grown and now she's having fun both in and out of the bedroom. It seems too good to be true…is it? She can't shake the niggling suspicion that something's not quite right.

I love ebooks and my Kindle is one of my best friends. But when I got the offer of having Daring to Wish in print I thought about it for...well, less than a second to be honest. There's something special about holding a book in your hand, and with the advancement of technology, who knows how we will be reading books next? A physical copy will always be there. Something to pass on through my family (when they reach a certain age of course!), so I can say, 'Hey, look what I did'. Maybe it will inspire my future generations to become authors too.

Also, I figure should a zombie apocalypse actually happen, and you've seen Revolution, right? Without power how will charge our ereaders? So yes, should the worst happen I'll be grabbing my family, photographs and my print copy.

Of course having print copies means more giveaways for you! More news about that later :-)

Have a wonderful weekend

Tantalizing Tuesday - Daring to Wish by Tracey Rogers

Hi everyone and welcome to another Tantalizing Tuesday.

Today I'm sharing a snippet of Daring to Wish with you. This book was loads of fun to write and I have a soft spot for Lucas, my daring hero. Hope you enjoy him too!

Sinking his head back into the soft padding of grass, Lucas let out a long sigh of relief and satisfaction through lips that curved upward into a grin; relief that they’d had a safe landing and the satisfaction that his last jump had been a spine-tingling thrill. Their jump had been amazing. Well, it was for him, he thought, suddenly aware that since her loud whoop Eve had been silent. No screams, no yells, and no laughter. Not even a small amount of swearing, which was not uncommon for jump newbies. Most uncommon though was silence he realized as he yanked off his headgear and goggles. Not only was she silent but she was motionless too.
      What the hell?
Her body remained lax as she lay on top of him. Lucas raked a hand through his hair as he stared down her length in confusion. She hadn’t lost consciousness. He knew that because she’d moved with him as she angled her limbs. He hadn’t felt her body go limp.
Lucas tensed. Was she in shock? He flattened his forearms against the ground, bracing himself to push their bodies into a sitting position. He paused as he felt a hint of movement.
“Eve, are you okay?” Impatiently he batted away the fabric of the chute as it billowed over their bodies, obscuring his view.
“Eve!” he repeated anxiously. Her response was a shudder that reverberated through his body. A shudder that increased in intensity until the tempo managed to jerk her shoulders rhythmically.
What the... Lucas’s confused thoughts were interrupted by soft gasps of breath.
Oh, thank God, she’s just crying.
      Aw hell, she’s crying.
So adrenaline wasn’t her thing. Eve’s dose of adrenaline must have translated into fight-or-flight mode, Lucas decided as she began to squirm against him. Her bottom was wriggling against parts of him that were already sensitive to her closeness. She twisted side to side, tugging off her headgear as she tried to move away, her gasps becoming sharper.
“Eve—wait,” Lucas said as he slid his hands in between them. “I need to release you.” Quickly locating the four clips of the harness, he deftly released them. As soon as she was freed he could hold her and soothe her in his arms. And apologize…profusely.
Suddenly that intention was abandoned as Eve flipped herself over, bracing her arms at both sides of his shoulders and gazing down at him.
Hell, she wasn’t crying. She was laughing! Unrestrained laughter. It bubbled from her. A rich, throaty sound that warmed him through. A sound Lucas absorbed within him as her lips captured his.
“That. Was. Amazing,” she punctuated breathlessly with kisses peppering along the curve of his lips.
“Eve—” Eve what? Stop? Don’t stop?
Ah, don’t stop, he decided as her tongue made a gentle sweep inside his mouth, igniting a flurry of sensation.
      So adrenaline was her thing.
Lucas used a huge chunk of willpower to break away from her kiss. “Eve, what do you think you’re doing?” he asked reluctantly as her mouth nibbled his jaw. He didn’t really want an answer in case she reconsidered and stopped. His hands gripped her hips, holding her away from his groin, but having already used up most of his self-control, he couldn’t bring himself to push her away any farther.
She paused and green eyes brimming with vibrancy and excitement met his. “I’m doing what you told me.”
“Ah...remind me?” asked Lucas, his brain too fogged to form thought processes.
      “I’m not thinking. I’m feeling.”

Busy, Busy, Busy!

I was trying to decide on my blog post for today when my six year old daughter interrupted my train of thought and said, “What Halloween costume can I wear? What pumpkin design are we having? Are we going to a fireworks display and how many sleeps is it until Christmas?” All in one excited breath. And my thought was—Already?

It really is coming to the end of October. How did that happen? But taking a cue from my still bouncing six year old, I thought of it from her perspective, without thinking about cleaning, shopping and a lack of enough hours in the day. This time of year is a reason to be excited. For me my Tasty Review Tour for Daring to Wish begins on the 28th October and then it won’t be long until the December release of Best Fake Day.

In between that time, during November our Beachwalk Press Readers’ Group will have my company as host for the day when I’ll be sharing snippets and having a giveaway, so if you haven’t joined our group yet please do so here so you can meet our lovely authors who will also be hosting. Also some of our authors will be sharing our holiday recipes with you here on this blog.

Now I’m going to find my inner child and embrace the best parts about this time of year. I shall write my Christmas to-do list, carve a pumpkin and ensure Halloween costumes are at the ready. I shall smile at the temperature drop and appreciate the glorious sight of frosty mornings. During the cold evenings I shall indulge myself by snuggling up in my writing blanket and lose myself in words. After all nothing warms you up better than a good book. Oh and if the cleaning and shopping fairies are reading this, feel free to visit me anytime :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!
